The Society admits Fellows, who commit to bring the practice of corporate directorship to a much higher level of professionalism consistent with international best practice and global standards. As proof of that commitment are the Institute’s 4 “Es” of Professional Directorship. EDUCATION. This involves the successful completion of an intensive 5-module Professional Directors Program. EXAMINATION. All those who complete the Professional Directors Program must take and pass the examination. EXPERIENCE as a corporate director. The Institute has indicated three alternatives for showing proof of experience. These are:
Commitment to ETHICS and to professional and socially responsible standards of behavior in the corporate boardroom. The status of ICD Fellows is reviewed periodically. Those who live up to their commitment to a high standard of professional ethics and continuing education as Professional Directors are invited to renew their ICD Fellows
