Prefacing the OECD Asian Roundtable was the IDEA.Net meeting on 8 September 2009. The first part of the program was a closed session for the IDEA.Net representatives and covered the development of the various CG Scorecards, common training programs, and other initiatives from IDEA.net to help move the ARCG forward. The results of the econometric study ICD commissioned to compare the results of the CG Scorecards of China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand, linking high CG scores to positive firm valuation in the stock exchange, were also released.

The second half of the program featured an exchange of perspectives and experiences on board performance evaluations chaired by Francis Estrada, FICD. The lead discussants were Roger Raber, former President of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), and Yvonne Butler, Principal and Director of the Palladium Group, John Lim, President of the Singapore Institute of Directors, Sidharta Utama, Chairman of the Indonesian ICD, and Patricia Sto. Tomas, Chair of the Development Bank of the Philippines, formed a panel to give their own insights on the matter.
